Walking from Riana to Trepignana

Fair weather has seen us exploring the area around Fosciandora, the village where the late Scottish artist John Bellany made his home.

This part of the valley has a good southern aspect, and has many small vineyards, all neatly pruned and tended.  The vines are tied back to their supports with the flexible twigs of the golden willow.
